Preppy Movies...The Green Way

The weather is starting to get cooler here in the Northeast, which means that my weekends of staying in to watch movies are on the horizon. I'm a Southern girl and I'm not a fan of cold weather, so I avoid it as much as possible. I thought I'd share with you the preppy (and semi-preppy) movies that remain staples in my collection year after year and keep me from having to go out into the chill to find something to do.

Some of my faves are Metropolitan, Barcelona, The Last Days of Disco, Caddyshack, Making the Grade, Six Degrees of Separation, Wedding Crashers, St. Elmo's Fire, Class, Love Story, Oliver's Story, Valley Girl, Igby Goes Down, and of course, The Great Gatsby!

Even movie watching can be greened up a bit. I am a big fan of reusing, so I buy most of my movies through resellers on Amazon or at movie rental stores when they sell their old stock. I am also a lover of On Demand and pay-to-download movies. That,of course, eliminates the need for all the plastic packaging. How very green! And with that, I'm off to the Seaport Museum...Happy Saturday everyone!
