Avedon's photographic subjects spanned the gamut...fashion icons, politicians, musicians, actors, world leaders. In his career, Avedon captured some of the most amazing images ever viewed (in my opinion).
His personal style was, however, significantly more scaled down than many of his subjects. Preferring a button down shirt or polo and jeans to anything fancy, Avedon was "artistic prep" from his youth in New York City through his death on assignment in Texas.Mr. Avedon, we salute your preppiness!
